Key Accountabilities of the Role:

*Be the translator between the business and IT
*Understand the report to be written; what it represents and how the business uses it
*Write technical specifications where required
*Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
*Ability to analyse the “as is” business architectures, to identify any issues, opportunities
*Participating in design and planning sessions
*Testing and deployment of new development

Key experience required for the role:

*Completed a tertiary qualification in an Information Systems or Analysis related field
*At least 5 years’ BI experience in a technology solution delivery environment (Retail experience advantageous)

Job Related Skills required for the role:

*Solid BI skills (SQL Server), Business Analysis, Planning or Data Modelling
*Experience with MS SQL or other analytical insight software combined with a good understanding of SQL or relationship databases
*SSIS – Sequel Server Integration Services – required to build ETL’s (extract, transform and load data)
*SSAS – Sequel Server Analysis Services – required to build OLAP (online analytical processing) cubes – specifically tabular
*SSRS – Sequel Server Reporting Services – to build SQL reports
*PowerBI experience and developer training would be advantageous
*Experience in requirements, analysis, design and reporting
*Good practical experience in BI and able to perform Business Analysis too
*Experience in other IT roles (e.g. software development) would be very advantageous
*Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite building data warehousing solutions
*Good presentation, facilitation and excellent documentation skills
*Strong attention to detail
*Strong communication skills

*Ability to work under high pressure
*Run multiple projects simultaneously
